7 Restaurants in Dahab To Try On Your Next Trip

11 months ago By Konafa Team

Dahab mistakenly gives the image that all their restaurants are created equal, because from the outside looking in, most appear the same — seaside views, casual ambience, quirky names. But they in fact are not all the same, so we thought we’d do the filtering for you.

1. Red Cat

This Russian-inspired restaurant serves dishes like borsch and gazpacho, but also crowd-pleasers like homemade pasta and pizza from the pizzeria across the street. They’re a good option for vegetarians, but carnivore or herbivore, the consensus on the Red Cat is that it’s both fresh and healthy.

2. Shark Restaurant

Known for its fresh grilled seafood, Shark Restaurant ups the ante of other Dahab seafood spots by offering free starters, and free tea with dessert. They also help you rid your hands of the smell of fish with lemon and warm water and towels after your meal.

3. Ramez and Paola

One of the best Italian restaurants in Dahab. They’re known for their pizza, lasagna and other homemade pasta. Ramez himself is the head chef and makes sure the quality never wavers.

4. Ralph’s German Bakery

A breakfast staple in Dahab, Ralph’s German Bakery has become so popular that a second branch just opened in Maadi, Cairo. They’re known for their homemade pastries, breads, English breakfasts, warm pretzels and much more.

5. Everyday Cafe

This place offers pretty much everything: breakfast, oriental & international fare, desserts, and even a swing over the water for an opportune Instagram moment. It’s said to have one of the best views in all of Dahab, but is a bit pricier than the other places.

6. King Chicken

Your budget option. While the “restaurant” itself doesn’t look promising (you’ll be sitting on tables and chairs on the street essentially), all those who’ve tried it have enjoyed it — you get bang for your buck. And they’re not just limited to grilled chicken, they also offer molokheya, kofta, soups, salads and dessert.

7. Athanor Cafe-Pizzeria

Another good Italian option besides Ramez and Paola. Athanor offers a range of different pizzas and pastas, served in a cozy garden area.  Try their shakes as well.
