Egypt’s Best AirBnBs Outside of Cairo

1 year ago By Konafa Team

As we all know, AirBnB has taken the world by storm for the past few years, and Egypt (for once, thank God) is no exception. Gone are the days where we’re at the mercy of overpriced hotels and even dodgier cheap ones.

Whether you’re travelling solo or with your partner, friends, or even extended family, you’ll find a place that fits your needs and hopefully your budget. We gathered our favorite Egyptian AirBnBs outside of Cairo for you (all rated and reviewed super high by previous guests):

1. “Space Station (Musicians Hub)” – Alexandria

This high-rise apartment in Alexandria made our list because of its spectacular sea views from every room.

AirBnB rating: 4.5/5

Price: Starting $74 a night

Number of people: 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and two twins, also a pull-out sofa bed, so 6 people in total.

What we love about this place: the terrace, the views, and the modern appliances and sound system.

2. “Luxury with Nile & Temple Views” – Luxor

Found on the West Bank of Luxor, this apartment has both a balcony and rooftop terrace that overlook the Nile, temples, and the mountains of Valley of the Kings.

AirBnB rating: 5/5

Price starting: $30 a night

Number of people: 2 in a bedroom and 2 on a sofa bed

What we love about this place: Everyone raved about the personal chef that can cook meals for the guests, and either serve it in your apartment or on the rooftop terrace. Most said it was the best meal they had in all of Luxor.

3. “The Beach Retreat” – Dahab

A two-bedroom home right on the shores of Assalah Beach and Eel Garden reef.

AirBnB rating: 5/5

Price starting: $38 a night

Number of people: 4

What we love about this place: besides being steps away from the Red Sea, this home is furnished with handmade reclaimed driftwood furniture, as a nod to the sea and Dahab’s environment.

4. “Great Villa El Gouna” – El Gouna

This 3 bedroom, stand-alone villa has an infinity pool overlooking the lagoon, and a large terrace and garden.

AirBnB rating: 4.5/5

Price starting: $85 a night

Number of people: 6

What we love about this place: by far, the private pool takes this place to a whole other level.

5. “Luxury Marina Studio” — Marsa Alam

This studio is situated in the heart of Port Ghalib and all its amenities and a five-minute walk from the beach.

AirBnB rating: 4.5/5

Price starting: $47 a night

Number of people: 2

What we love about this place: its spectacular marina view.

6. “Villa Montazah” – Sharm El Sheikh

This enormous villa (5 bedrooms) is a pretty pricy, but you get what you pay for – lots of room and a beautiful pool overlooking the Red Sea.

AirBnB rating: 5/5

Price starting: $240 a night

Number of people: 10

What we love about this place: besides being furnished beautifully and having tons of room for a big group, the fact that the living room spills out onto to the terrace gives this place an open, breezy feel.
